A public health authority in Tasmania is looking for experienced haemodialysis nurses to join their team. This role requires management of up to three dialysis patients, supporting new learners, and expertise in cannulation. Renal Services (THS-North) has an acute inpatient haemodialysis Unit at the LGH and a Satellite Renal Unit for outpatient Haemodialysis and Home Therapies Unit, at Kings Meadows. Grade 3 RNs make up a significant proportion of the Renal Nursing Workforce at both sites. We are looking for experienced haemodialysis nurse(s) to join our dynamic team, who look after people with either Acute or Chronic Kidney Disease, on Haemodialysis.
Grade 3 Registered Nurse(s) with experience in Haemodialysis.
Registered Nurses with Haemodialysis experience are able to independently manage up to three dialysis patients per shift (patient complexity, and acuity, as well as the experience level of the RN is taken into consideration when patient allocation is decided).
Registered Nurses with Haemodialysis experience are competent with both Tunnelled CICC lines and AVFs for haemodialysis. Experience with all levels of cannulation and a willingness to learn ultrasound guided cannulation.
Registered Nurses with Haemodialysis experience will support and precept new learners to Renal Nursing - including nursing students, Transition to Practice RNs and new RNs that come to Renal Services - to complete a Renal Training Program.

Permanent full time, shift worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from a mutually agreed upon date.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

$80,524 to $109,175 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Access to the Grade 4 salary range $102,439- $109,175 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
