Responsibilities
  • Provide person-centred care to residents and support their families.
  • Advocate for residents and deliver compassionate, professional nursing care in a care home setting.
  • Mentor and share knowledge with colleagues; act as a practice supervisor and assessor to students.
  • Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication; model professional behaviors.
  • Recognise safeguarding responsibilities; identify signs of abuse, harm or neglect and report concerns; attend safeguarding training and undertake related development.
  • Contribute to the digital care planning implementation; adapt to growing digital capabilities and support residents accordingly.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Registered Nurse (NMC) with at least 12 months experience in Health or Social Care.
  • Valid PIN number and commitment to professional standards of practice as set by the NMC.
  • Passion for mentoring and sharing knowledge with colleagues; ability to support as a practice supervisor and assessor to students.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to role model professional behaviours.
  • Understanding of safeguarding and the ability to seek advice and escalate concerns when action is not taken.
