Overview

We are looking for a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to join our dynamic team on Hooper Ward, an acute service. The role is full-time (38.5 hours per week) with day and night shifts on a rota (7:30am – 8:00pm; 7:30pm – 8:00am). The post offers opportunities to develop skills across specialties (e.g., DBT) and knowledge from other specialist pathways under one roof. Hooper Ward is a 13-bed acute mental health service for women at Cygnet Hospital Beckton, providing a safe environment for individuals experiencing an acute episode requiring emergency admission. Cygnet Hospital Beckton is a specialist service for women in the East End of London with a good overall CQC rating. The hospital provides a comprehensive service across four specialist wards: Acute, PICU, Tier 4 Personality Disorder, and Complex Personality Disorder for women with complex mental health needs. This is a forward-thinking hospital that embraces new ideas and supports high-quality care delivery as part of a supportive team.

  • Interest in leadership, research and assessment

  • Ward-specific experience (e.g., Personality Disorder, Disability Confident)
