About Our Client
Our client provides innovative, trauma‑informed care for children aged 11‑17, helping them overcome emotional and behavioural challenges in a safe, supportive, family‑style environment.

What's Needed in This Role
- Proven leadership experience in a children’s residential setting.
- Ability to inspire and manage a team to deliver outstanding care.
- Strong safeguarding knowledge and commitment to child welfare.
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills with professionals, families and regulatory bodies.
- Resilience, empathy and a solution‑focused approach.
Technical Expertise
- In‑depth knowledge of Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards (2015).
- Understanding of Ofsted inspection frameworks and compliance requirements.
- Ability to lead on audits, quality assurance and continuous improvement.
- Skilled in developing Statements of Purpose, care plans and risk assessments.
- Familiarity with legislation including Children Act 1989/2004, Working Together to Safeguard Children and Health & Safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities – Responsible Individual
- Ensure the home meets and exceeds Ofsted standards, achieving “Good” or “Outstanding” ratings.
- Oversee all aspects of care delivery, safeguarding and regulatory compliance.
- Lead and mentor the Registered Manager and senior team to maintain high‑quality practice.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for service growth and improvement.
- Liaise with local authorities, external agencies and stakeholders to ensure positive outcomes for children.
- Monitor performance, budgets and resources to maintain sustainability and excellence.
- Drive a culture of continuous learning, development and therapeutic care.
