Job description

Registered Manager - Children’s Supported Accommodation (2-bed)

Beyond Talent are delighted to be supporting this growing, financially stable care group, who is launching a new 2-bed supported accommodation service for 16–17-year-olds. The service has strong incoming interest and is ready to open once the right Registered Manager is in post. You’ll take the registration and help shape the model around your leadership, values, and practice - backed by an engaged, hands‑on senior leadership team who are passionate about quality and improving life chances for care leavers.

This is an ideal step up for a strong Deputy Manager or a platform for an experienced Registered Manager seeking autonomy, impact, and progression.

Why join?
  • Hands‑on, experienced CEO who invests to get things right and is involved in setting you up for success.
  • Expansion plans that create genuine career pathways, including the opportunity to progress to Responsible Individual (RI) in the future.
  • In‑house consultancy (20+ years’ experience, Ofsted background) providing advice, guidance, and professional development.
  • External training to upskill and support the right person.
About the service

Supported accommodation offers young people more autonomy and freedom than a traditional children’s home—their own spaces, flexible routines, and independence‑building support. Potential residents may present low, medium, or high‑risk profiles, and some may have EBD (Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties). Your approach will balance safety, empowerment, and progression toward adulthood.

What you’ll do
  • Lead the service through registration and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and Ofsted standards.
  • Build a high-performing team, culture, and practice model focused on quality, safeguarding, and outcomes.
  • Oversee referrals, assessments, and risk management; set individualized plans that build skills and independence.
  • Drive continuous improvement, audit readiness, and strong Ofsted results.
  • Develop effective partnerships with local authorities, commissioners, schools / colleges, and community services.
  • Manage budgets, rotas, and service performance with clarity and accountability.
What you’ll bring
  • Level 5 Leadership & Management in Residential Childcare (achieved, working towards, or willing to gain).
  • Leadership experience in children’s services (e.g., supported accommodation, children’s homes, leaving-care services).
  • Proven practice with behaviours that challenge / EBD and trauma-informed approaches.
  • Robust safeguarding, regulation / inspection readiness, and quality improvement mindset.
  • Ambition to progress-with material plans to expand, there is a clear path to RI for those who want it.
Rewards & package
  • Highly competitive
  • Up to £5,000 annual performance bonus, linked to Ofsted outcomes.
  • Structured learning & development, including access to an Ofsted-experienced consultant.
  • Supportive leadership, clear growth plans, and the chance to build a service around you.
