Regional Sales Manager – Yorkshire

📣 We’re Hiring! – Regional Sales Manager

📍 Location: Yorkshire (with some NW key accounts & stockists)

🕒 Hours: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm

👋 Reporting To: Head of Sales – GB North

We’re looking for a highly driven and dynamic Regional Sales Manager to join our GB sales team at AG. As a Regional Sales Manager you will be responsible for securing orders for AG Paving & Building Products by engaging and influencing key customer groups, including groundworkers, housebuilders, civil/builders’ merchants and AG approved stockists. The post holder will be accountable for achieving and exceeding regional sales and profitability targets.

The ideal location f or candidates for this role would be along the M62 corridor.

About the role

Sales & Revenue Growth

  • Secure orders at agreed profitability levels.

  • Proactively identify and target groundworkers, contractors, housebuilders to generate new business opportunities.

  • Target underperforming and non-trading accounts to unlock new opportunities.

  • Drive core product sales initiatives to maximise team revenue.

  • Convert non-stocking customers (e.g. buying group members, independents, specialist merchants).

  • Develop landscaper/customer targets in collaboration with merchant stockists.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong, long‑term relationships with clients as a trusted advisor.

  • Act as the primary post‑sales contact, ensuring clear communication and ongoing support.

  • Conduct regular site visits to ensure service delivery meets expectations.

  • Strengthen account performance and develop strategic relationships with key decision‑makers.

Sales Process & CRM Management

  • Manage the full sales cycle: lead qualification, needs analysis, proposal, negotiation, and closing.

  • Plan and track weekly customer‑facing activities in CRM, aligned with agreed targets.

  • Maintain complete and accurate CRM data to support project conversion and forecasting.

  • Monitor project timelines and collaborate with specification colleagues to influence outcomes.

Internal Collaboration

  • Work closely with internal teams (sales, credit control, despatch) to ensure exceptional customer service.

  • Provide accurate demand forecasts and customer updates to support operational planning.

Brand & Market Development

  • Promote AG as the supplier of choice and positively influence customer perceptions.

  • Leverage LinkedIn to identify prospects and enhance brand visibility.

  • Represent AG professionally and uphold company values at all times.

Strategic Contribution

  • Support sales planning, forecasting, and performance analysis to drive continuous improvement.

  • Perform additional duties as required, aligned with skills and capabilities.
