Computershare Investor Services PLC (CIS PLC) is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) to carry out safeguarding and administration duties for activities related to share registry, including share dealing and share plan administration. The FCA expects firms (such as CIS PLC) to maintain a strict regime of compliance with regulatory requirements including management of 'client assets' (CASS), adherence to the 'Conduct of Business Sourcebook' (COBS), 'Consumer Duty', maintenance of operational and business resilience, and ensuring firms have adequate capital and liquidity to ensure continuation of services without causing harm to customers, the firm, or the market.
As the Chief Operating Officer (COO) for CIS PLC, you will be shaping the future direction of operational delivery to CIS PLC by working directly with executives and key stakeholders across global business lines to plan for and deliver critical operational support. As a member of CIS PLC's executive management team, you will represent CIS PLC and ensure a collective purpose to drive continual improvement, innovation, and enhanced service outcomes whilst maintaining regulatory compliance.
A role you will love
The Chief Operating Officer for CIS PLC will be required to oversee all Operations activity on behalf of the firm's multiple lines of business, primarily through an internal vendor relationship with Global Core Operations, Share Plans and Technology Services (CTS) but potentially also including direct management of departmental staff for limited transitional periods and during ad hoc business continuity events.
Reporting to the CEO of CIS PLC and the Global Head of Plans Operations, (with additional reporting to the CIS PLC Board and Board Committees), you will be responsible for operational accountability for jurisdictional compliance and service performance of CIS PLC. You will build relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders, providing local leadership to multiple teams in the region ensuring day-to-day service excellence through matrix management of hundreds of staff in several countries around the world supporting UK business lines.
This role holds the SMF responsibility for CIS.
What will you bring to the role?
As the COO for CIS PLC, you will require a good understanding of the products and services offered by Computershare's business lines, and the operational processes required to support and administer them. You will operate within defined technical and operational procedures, requiring proficient knowledge and awareness on how to apply them. You will have a deep understanding of regulatory obligations covering CASS, Conduct Risk & Consumer Duty, Operational Resilience, SMCR and ICARA acquired from your previous experience operating in a similar role.
