Job description

Our client, a refrigeration engineering company renowned for their expertise in large-scale and complex refrigeration systems, is seeking an experienced Refrigeration Supervisor to join their team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to lead a team of engineers, oversee projects, and ensure the highest standards of quality and safety in the installation, servicing, and maintenance of complex refrigeration systems.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, oversee, and monitor the work of a team of engineers for maintenance, repairs, and commissioning projects
  • Ensure quality control and adherence to technical, safety, and industry standards, including F-Gas and ammonia safety regulations
  • Provide technical support for complex faults and repairs on various refrigeration systems
  • Assist with system commissioning and stay updated with emerging technologies
  • Lead, mentor, and develop engineers, conducting performance reviews and organizing training sessions
  • Interpret technical data and ensure correct commissioning procedures
  • Enforce health & safety requirements, prepare RAMS, and investigate safety incidents
  • Act as the main technical and operational contact for clients, attend site meetings, and identify opportunities for system improvements
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a refrigeration engineer (minimum 5 years)
  • F-Gas Category 1 certification (mandatory)
  • City & Guilds Level 2/3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (or equivalent)
  • Experience with ammonia and CO₂ plant
  • Previous supervisory or team leader experience
  • Full UK driving licence
