Refrigeration Engineer

We are looking for a skilled and committed Refrigeration Engineer to join the team at KOMA UK, specialists in refrigeration and dough conditioning for the bakery and food industry.

This is a practical role for someone who takes pride in doing a job well. You’ll be installing and servicing high-quality systems across the UK and working closely with a small supportive team. We take a proactive approach to maintenance, so you’ll have the chance to plan ahead, solve problems properly, and build strong relationships with our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, service, and maintenance of refrigeration and dough conditioning systems, from small cabinets to large blast freezers and full production facilities
• Carry out proactive preventative maintenance and fault-finding to prevent breakdowns and ensure peak performance
• Complete all job documentation accurately and on time, providing clear, detailed reports that are essential for our records and client confidence
• Work independently on‑site while representing KOMA UK with professionalism and integrity
• Participate in an on‑call rota and occasional weekend work, providing responsive support to key clients when required
• Follow all health, safety, and environmental standards in line with company policies
• Take a forward‑thinking approach to every job, spotting potential issues before they become callouts

Who We’re Looking For

• F‑Gas Category 1 certification (essential)
• Solid experience in large commercial or industrial refrigeration systems
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault‑finding skills
• CO₂ system experience is an advantage (training provided for the right person)
• Full UK driving licence
• Practical, can‑do attitude with a commitment to high standards
• Honest, reliable, and ready to take ownership of your work

Important Details

• Base: Ideally South of Milton Keynes (national travel & regular stays away)
• Hours: Full‑Time (flexibility required due to travel and workload)
• Salary: negotiable depending on experience
• Additional Pay: Overtime, bonuses, and paid door‑to‑door travel
