Job description

We are looking for an outgoing, friendly and enthusiastic person to support the work of our Red Squirrel Recovery Network (RSRN) programme. This is a partnership between organisations to conserve, protect and celebrate red squirrels. This role would suit someone who is interested in taking a first step on a career path where you can make a real difference to the natural environment and local communities. We are particularly interested in receiving applications from young people (aged 18- 25) local to South East Northumberland. We don’t expect you to have experience in all areas, but a can‑do attitude and a willingness to learn are essential.

The postholder will be expected to support a wide range of activities including supporting volunteer activities, ecological surveys and field work, community events and education workshops, digital events and social media, data analysis.

The role is for 21-28 hours per week and the contract is for 10 months. NWT operates a flexitime system.

This salary is National Living wage.
