Job purpose
This role will work as part of B Lab UK’s Growth & Product Team to deliver the B Corp recertification process. In this role you’ll be focused on:
- Monitor the B Corp Recertification pipeline, ensuring timely progress and implementing process improvements.
- Provide expert support and clear communication to B Corps navigating an evolving Recertification environment, keeping knowledge of the standards up to date.
- Drive continuous improvement through feedback analysis, risk mitigation, and internal collaboration.
Responsibilities will include:

- Company reviews and scoping guidance:
- Acting as Setup Specialist, analyse the legal and operational structures of B Corps approaching recertification, according to B Lab’s scoping rules.
- Determine and provide guidance to B Corps on correct scope of certification, to ensure company assessments are tailored to their structure and context.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge on scoping rules and precedents, ensuring accurate interpretation within an evolving context.
- Review and assess business changes for B Corps (e.g., mergers, acquisitions, brand or operational shifts) to determine impact on certification status.

- Pipeline monitoring and reporting:
- Track progress of recertifying B Corps against agreed submission dates and tolerances, identify risks and report on key metrics.
- Manage pipeline checks to ensure recertification reviews are progressing in a timely manner.
- Oversee and suggest improvements to pipeline monitoring processes, identifying pain points and creating solutions.
- Identify and mitigate risks, working with Engagement Managers to ensure B Corps are receiving communications and understand the recertification requirements.
- Collaborate with Community Assistants to ensure the maintenance of correct contact information and the tracking of accurate records of communications for B Corps, in relation to the recertification process.
- Manage processes within CRM systems where possible and establish manual processes as needed.

- Recertification Communications & Stakeholder Engagement:
- In accordance with the recertification customer journey, deliver timely and effective communications to small and medium B Corps approaching recertification.
- Manage the recertification inbox to meet agreed SLAs, maintaining up-to-date canned responses aligned with current policies and information.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve and automate recertification communications.
- Manage and answer technical queries from B Corps regarding the recertification process, standards and B Impact, ensuring clarity and professionalism.
- Tailor communications in order to maintain key relationships and provide an effective customer experience.
- Collaborate with internal teams and wider stakeholders to ensure alignment and to enhance the overall customer experience.

- Resource & process development:
- Support the creation of new initiatives, events and resources designed to increase the B Corp community’s understanding of recertification requirements, accuracy of their self‑assessment and adherence to submission deadlines.
- Through engagement and communications planning, ensure B Corps are aware of and engaging with these resources.
- Continuously look for innovative ways of improving B Lab UK’s recertification processes, bringing ideas to the team as appropriate.

- Relationships:
- Support the Recertification Lead to deliver the customer journey for recertification.
- Work closely with Engagement Managers and the wider Community Team to ensure they are aware of recertification requirements and potential risks and challenges with their key accounts.
- Develop relationships with relevant teams at B Lab Global and consult with key experts on certification and standards matters where necessary.

- Team Working:
- Build and maintain a high level of expertise on B Lab’s standards and processes, contributing expertise to internal knowledge sharing, external events/webinars and wider team initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with the wider Growth and Product team to recognise opportunities for process efficiencies.
- When required, lead on projects that help the B Lab UK team to achieve our objectives.

- Ability to work collaboratively across functions within the organisation and across a global network.
Desirable skills but not essential and can be developed in the role:
- Experience in Salesforce or similar CRMs
- Familiarity with these (or comparable) platforms: G Suite, Slack, Asana and Zoom.
