RECEPTIONIST (TEMP)

If you're looking to earn some extra money before Christmas, this is the perfect opportunity for you! We are seeking a professional and friendly Receptionist to support our client based in central Southampton for a short-term assignment. This role is ideal for someone who is organised, confident, and enjoys providing a warm and efficient front‑of‑house service. This role is covering from Monday 1st to Thursday 4th of December only.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcoming visitors and clients in a professional and engaging manner
  • Managing the reception area to ensure it remains tidy and presentable
  • Handling incoming calls, directing queries, and taking accurate messages
  • Supporting with general administrative tasks such as email handling, scanning, and filing
  • Providing ad-hoc support to internal teams as required
  • Monitoring visitor sign‑ins and following security procedures
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a reception or customer‑facing role
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Professional, approachable, and confident when interacting with visitors and staff
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks
  • Comfortable using basic IT systems (Outlook, Word, etc.)
Pay Rate

£13.00 per hour (Weekly Paid)

Working hours

Monday 1st - Thursday 4th December. - 9:00am-17:00pm
