A healthcare provider in Birmingham is looking for a proactive GP surgery receptionist to join their team. The successful candidate will handle various administrative tasks, such as managing patient appointments, liaising with healthcare professionals, and assisting with prescriptions. Previous experience in a GP surgery is preferred. This role offers flexible shifts and the opportunity to work across multiple sites.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking individual to join our current team, previous experience of working as a GP surgery receptionist would be beneficial.
We have multiple sites and you could be working at any of the sites.
We use Systm one and the successful candidate would be required to undertake a number of different administrative roles.
To have a thorough knowledge and work in accordance of all practice policies and procedures.
Pulling and filing notes/ Answering calls and sign posting
Photocopying as requested
Scanning/ Coding of hospital letter and results.
Liaising with members of practice team and community services as necessary
Handling completed repeat prescriptions to patient and checking names and address.
Be able to cover all reception positions as necessary.
Process the day appointment and future appointment requests and assist and direct patients to access the appropriate service or healthcare professional
Deal with home visit requests.
Process repeat prescription requests in accordance with practice guidelines.
Any other tasks allocated by Management
All team members have a flexible working approach and are available to work different shift patterns as and when required / asked to do so in order to cover annual leave / sickness etc.
