A local GP practice in Weymouth is seeking a GP Receptionist to provide essential support for patient coordination and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience in a GP practice, be educated to at least GCSE level, and demonstrate a polite telephone manner. This role involves managing appointments, assisting patients, and supporting clinical staff with various tasks.
The GP receptionistis responsible for undertaking a wide range of reception duties and providingsupport to the multidisciplinary team. Duties may include, but are not limitedto, greeting and directing patients, effective use of the appointment system,booking appointments, processing of personal information and assisting patientsas required
To actas a central point of contact for patients, the distribution of information, messagesand enquiries for the clinical team, liaising with the multidisciplinary teammember and external agencies such as secondary care and community serviceproviders

The coreresponsibilities of the receptionist are as follows. On occasion, there may bea requirement to carry out tasks not listed below, that are within thereasonable scope of the role.
In addition to thecore responsibilities, the Receptionist may be requested to;
1.Actionincoming emails and correspondence as necessary
2.Completeopening and closing procedures in accordance with the rota
3.Partake inaudit as directed by the audit lead
4.Supportadmin team, providing cover during absences
5.Scanpatient related documents and attach scanned documents to patients healthcarerecord
