Job Overview

Weekend Receptionist – Westcombe Park Care Home, 112a Westcombe Park. Road, Blackheath, London SE3 7RZ. CQC rating: Good, Carehome.co.uk rating: 9.5 / 10. Pay: £12.60 – £13.60 per hour, Permanent Contract, Weekends only Saturday & Sunday 9am – 5pm with 30 min break, 15 hours per week.

Location & Facility

Westcombe Park is a modern care home situated in a pleasant leafy neighbourhood of south‑east London. Residents receive nursing or residential care, respite and convalescence care. All bedrooms are thoughtfully decorated to create a warm and homely atmosphere; most are en suite, with double rooms available for couples. The home is close to local transport links, a few minutes’ drive from the A2, and benefits from a bus route stopping directly outside the home. It is only a few minutes’ walk to local amenities, shops, and the local bank.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the first point of contact for all visitors to the home.
  • Manage new enquiries and provide advice and support face‑to‑face and over the phone.
  • Conduct show‑arounds within the care home.
  • Support the Home Manager and Administrator with clerical duties, such as maintaining paperwork and filing.
  • Deal with enquiries in a timely manner and ensure daily and weekly tasks are completed.
Qualifications & Skills

Experience as a Receptionist with excellent customer service is required. You will have a friendly manner both face‑to‑face and over the phone. You are approachable, organised, and have the ability to build strong relationships with residents, their families, and internal teams. Dedicated and efficient with the ability to handle a varied workload, your caring attitude underpins everything you do – to make a real difference to people’s lives.
