Pay: £12.60 - £13.60 per hour

Contract: Permanent

Weekends only Saturday & Sunday 9am - 5pm with a 30 minute break

Hours: 15 hours per week

Westcombe Park is a modern care home situated in a pleasant leafy neighbourhood of south‑east London. Here, staff warmly welcome residents in need of nursing or residential care, and also provide respite and convalescence care. Every bedroom has been thoughtfully decorated to create a warm and homely atmosphere; most bedrooms are en suite and the home can accommodate couples with double rooms. The care home is close to local transport links, only a few minutes’ drive from the A2 and benefitting from a bus route stopping directly outside the home, making visiting for family and friends easier. It is also just a few minutes’ walk to local amenities, shops and the local bank.

At Westcombe Park, staff take great care to focus on the person. It’s important for residents to feel at home, so a friendly environment with an individually appropriate balance of care and independence is created. Enjoying food is an important part of life; the chefs craft well‑made menus with fresh ingredients and cater for all ethnicities. Soon after a resident arrives, staff discuss personal preferences and dietary needs.

There’s a real sense of community at Westcombe Park. Staff work to discover residents’ interests and the social calendar is organised around those interests, ensuring plenty of exciting activities.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Act as the first point of contact for all visitors to the home
  • Take responsibility for managing new enquiries
  • Provide advice and support both face to face and over the phone
  • Conduct show‑arounds within the care home
  • Support the Home Manager and Administrator with clerical duties such as maintaining paperwork and filing
  • Deal with enquiries in a timely manner and ensure daily and weekly tasks are completed
Key Skills & Qualifications Needed

You’ve worked as a Receptionist before and have experience in providing excellent customer service. You have a friendly manner both face to face and over the phone, are approachable, organised, and can build strong relationships with residents, their families and internal teams. You are dedicated, efficient, and can handle a varied workload; your caring attitude underpins everything you do and helps make a real difference to people’s lives.
