Reception Class Teaching Assistant – Full Time
Primary School - Warrington
Start Date: After February Half Term

A welcoming and nurturing primary school in Warrington is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Reception Class Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team on a full‑time basis, starting after the February half term.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young children at the very start of their learning journey and who thrives in a busy, caring Early Years environment.

The Role
  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and age‑appropriate learning activities.
  • Work closely with children to support their learning, development, and emotional wellbeing.
  • Assist with phonics, early literacy, numeracy, and play‑based learning.
  • Support children with personal care routines where required.
  • Help create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Observe, record, and contribute to assessments of pupil progress.
The Ideal Candidate Will
  • Have experience working with children in Early Years or Reception (school or nursery‑based).
  • Be caring, patient, and enthusiastic with a genuine passion for Early Years education.
  • Have strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Be proactive and able to use their initiative.
  • Hold a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).
  • Have a good understanding of the EYFS framework (desirable).
