Qualifications

  • Confident computer skills; experience with RezLynx is advantageous.

Job description
Overview

We are looking for an experienced Reception Supervisor to report to the Guest Service Manager and deliver a five-star guest experience. You will be responsible for ensuring that the reception team offers a warm welcome and a personal and professional service to the guests that visit our property located on Lake Windermere. Langdale Chase Hotel sits on the banks of Lake Windermere and has recently undergone a full refurbishment and reopened in November 2023. The hotel has achieved 5 Star Status from the AA and was recognised in the Times Top 100 Places to Stay, ranking No.3 and North of England Hotel of the Year. We will happily discuss flexible working options to support with personal life, including rotas to support with school drop off and pick up.

Responsibilities
  • Provide the highest standards of customer service and welcome to ensure an exceptional guest experience at all times.
  • Have impeccable knowledge of hotel bedrooms and facilities to offer the best service to guests.
  • Create a strong culture of customer service and warm hospitality within the department, including recognising and acknowledging regular guests and their requirements.
  • Ensure the department offers a prompt, courteous, knowledgeable response to telephone calls.
  • Contribute towards the maximisation of bedroom sales and deliver high levels of revenue control.
  • Supervise and support the development of the reception team through training to deliver the hotel's product plan and brand standards.
  • Ensure all security procedures regarding guest belongings (luggage, storage, deliveries) are carried out with care and attention by all team members.
  • Provide efficient delivery of guest messages.
  • Support the Guest Service Manager in ensuring all brand standards are delivered by the team.
  • Take pride in delivering exceptional hospitality and customer service, whether face-to-face or by telephone, and meet guest requirements with a willingness to go the extra mile.
Qualifications / Experience
  • Hands-on experience working in a high-quality Four-Star or Five-Star hotel.
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to motivate a team.
  • Ability to work in line with the company's brand standards and represent the Company and the hotel in a loyal, professional, and knowledgeable manner.
  • Confident computer skills; experience with RezLynx is advantageous.
  • Flexibility to work hours dependent on workload and seasonal requirements.
