Whilst the direct real estate market is anything but peachy right now, this Top 20 law firm has, not only managed to keep its real estate team busy, but used the slow-down as an opportunity to grow its real estate offering by picking up talent (particularly on the BTR, student accommodation, senior living and hospitality side) from less committed rivals.

As such, the already-stretched real estate finance team has periodically faced significant capacity issues at partner-level. The law firm is keen to address this with the hire of a borrower-focused real estate finance lateral who can both support the real estate team’s existing workflow, and be accretive in their own right.
