Qualifications

  • Operational or manual handling experience in a similar environment.
  • Essential yellow plant licence with capability to operate loading shovel.

Responsibilities

  • Operate mobile plant and shredder.
  • Ensure turnaround times are met for tipping and loading.
  • Inspect input and output material; report non-conforming loads.
  • Maintain cleanliness of facility and address spillages.
  • Complete documentation accurately and on time.

Salary - £28,338.96 plus Veolia benefits

Overtime when needed

Hours - 46.5 hours per week

06:00-16:30 on a 4 on 2 off shift pattern covering 7 days per week

Location - Colwick Transfer Station, Nottinghamshire, NG4 2JU

This new facility is for bulking, treatment and transfer of waste materials collected from local businesses and householders. It also does the shredding of residual waste to produce refuse derived fuel (RDF).

What will you be doing?
  • Operate mobile plant and shredder
  • Ensure turnaround times are met regarding the tipping and loading of vehicles
  • Inspection of all input and output material and reporting of any non conforming loads and ensuring the quality meets with customers specification
  • Ensure that the facility is left in a clean condition and any spillages are cleaned up before leaving the area
  • Ensure that all related documentation is completed in a timely and accurate fashion
What are we looking for?
  • Similar operational / manual handling experience
  • Yellow plant licence – Loading shovel is essential
