Job description

Pay Rate: £14.25 per hour (equivalent to £22,230.00 per annum on 30 hour part time contract)
Grade: RCS CA
Contract Type: Permanent (PART TIME)
Shift patterns: 30 HOURS PER WEEK - Rotational - Earlies and Lates - 6 on 3 off shift pattern
Location: Luton Airport

We're seeking a Ramp Agent to play an integral role in our aviation contract, delivering a first-class service and achieving fantastic results.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?
  • Loading and unloading baggage onto the aircraft
  • Operating ground handling equipment such as baggage carts, belt loaders, and tow tractors, to transport luggage to and from the aircraft
  • Marshalling aircrafts to and from gates, ensuring safe and precise positioning
  • Assist with aircraft pushback and towing as needed
  • Perform routine inspections of aircraft and ground equipment, reporting any issues or discrepancies to supervisors
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with flight deck and ground crew to coordinate aircraft movements
  • The role includes regular heavy lifting
  • The role includes working outside in all weather conditions
WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?
  • A valid UK manual driving license is essential with experience of driving
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays
  • Confident dealing with challenging situations
  • Works well within a team
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels
  • Willing to attend a medical appointment
SECURITY PROCESS TO WORK WITHIN AVIATION AND TRAVEL AT DHL
  • Be able to provide five years address history
  • Be able to provide five years reference history (employment/education/benefit claim/character)
  • To obtain a full airside ID
