Job summary

A leading transport service provider in the UK is seeking a Rail Fitter to maintain and ensure the operational integrity of Rail on Track Plant assets. This permanent role focuses on reducing costs and enhancing reliability through proactive maintenance and expert fault diagnosis. The ideal candidate should have a strong maintenance background, NVQ level 3 qualification, and experience with On Track Plant. Qualifications

• Strong maintenance background with experience in On Track Plant.
• 3 years of experience in Rail preferred.
• Statutory examination of lifting equipment certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and repair On Track Plant assets meeting safety and operational standards.
• Minimise asset downtime through proactive maintenance.
• Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic issues.

General servicing and defect repair

Basic Welding Techniques

IT competency including Microsoft Office and Excel

Education

NVQ level 3 plant engineer or equivalent engineering trade qualification

Valid sentinel PTS card endorsed with AC and DC lines (DCCR)
