Qualifications

• Experience working in a rolling stock maintenance depot.
• Outstanding safety awareness in railway engineering.
• Experience with stabling outstations and technical support.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance on Class 800 rolling stock.
• Undertake driving duties as required.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities.
• Support Maintenance Team Leaders in production plans.
• Record work activities in maintenance management system.

Skills

Experience of working a 24/7 shift roster

Outstanding Safety Awareness

Modern fault finding and repair techniques

Reading electrical, pneumatic, mechanical schematics

Experience of modern maintenance management systems

Ability to investigate complex faults

Education

Served apprenticeship with mechanical or electrical disciplines

Engineering based NVQ level 2 and 3
