Overview

Come and join our expanding Interventional Radiology Team in the newly created Radiology Day Case Unit! If you are passionate about providing high quality patient care and would like to be part of the lifesaving treatment we provide, then this may be the role for you. You will work in a multi-disciplinary team alongside radiologists, radiographers and nurses, to provide high quality care in a busy and demanding environment. You will be joining an award winning team who are friendly and supportive. You will be provided with full training in an environment where personal development is encouraged.

Role

The role of the interventional radiology clinical support worker is to provide high quality care to all of our patients and their relatives while they are within the radiology department by using a range of skills. These include:

  • Facilitate patient transport to and from the department.
  • Provide therapeutic patient care during interventional procedures
  • Work closely with the consultant radiologists during certain interventional lists.
  • Stocking up of clinical areas, including stock rotation
  • Act as a circulating assistant within the radiology day case unit and angiography suite.
