Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Radiology team as a Radiology Assistant. You will be based at Airedale General Hospital, and will provide annual leave and sickness cover at our community hospitals. This is a full‑time position working 37.5 hours per week, including weekends, evenings and your fair share of Bank Holidays.

Main duties of the job

To assist the radiologists, radiographic and nursing staff in the smooth running of the DXA, mammography, plain film service, ultrasound and interventional work across all the Airedale sites if required. This will involve greeting patients, changing them into gowns, assisting with the procedure, giving personal care to patients (e.g., toileting), processing images, undertaking necessary clerical work, and liaising with wards and clinicians. Mentoring students as and when required. The role is patient‑focused, service‑driven and varied.
