Job description
Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen within NHS Forth Valley Radiology Department for 3 Band 6 Radiographers to join our dynamic team. Due to the addition of a 3rd CT scanner into the Acute and Waiting Times Services in Radiology; candidates are sought to support this expansion, along with any MRI experience would be desirable. The successful individual will be required to rotate through the Rotational Roster and 12hr shift pattern (in development). Each candidate must demonstrate flexibility and a desire to undertake role development with well documented evidence of Continuing Professional Development.

Responsibilities
  • Perform Radiographic examinations, providing direct care and a high-quality diagnostic imaging service to assist in the management of patients.
  • Deputise for Imaging Team Leaders as required, supervise Radiographers, Assistant Practitioners, Clinical Support Workers, and students ensuring organisation of specialised areas within Radiology whilst providing continuity of service delivery.
  • CT runs 12hrs/day, 7-days/week for out-patients and 24/7 for ED and in-patients. MRI Experience is desirable and would initially be on a rotational basis.
  • Participate in the Out of Hours (OOH) rota, undertaking CT scanning, and general imaging OOH.
Qualifications
  • CT experience is essential for this role;
  • Band 6 Radiographers currently rotate through all General Area’s, Nuclear Medicine, Interventional/Fluoro, and includes ED imaging.
  • It is expected that the successful candidate will be an HCPC registered Diagnostic Radiographer in possession of the DCR and/or BSc/BSc Hons. in Diagnostic Radiography.
  • Previous NHS Experience is desirable.
