Job description
Overview

Manpower is seeking R&D Process Technicians. We invite applications from recent graduates in engineering, science, or related disciplines seeking valuable industry experience, as well as individuals with operational expertise in chemical, pharmaceutical, or related sectors.

Position

Temporary R&D Process Technician

Contract Duration: 6 months.

Location: Didcot, Milton Park

Pay rates: Day shift: £12.50 per hour. Night shift: £15.00 per hour

Shift Pattern: Rotational shifts following a consistent schedule of 4-day shifts, 4-day shifts, 4 days off, 4-night shifts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate pilot plant equipment (comprehensive training provided)
  • Assemble and disassemble plant equipment for maintenance and troubleshooting (training provided)
  • Monitor production processes and diagnose faults.
  • Handle and prepare raw materials and products to required standards.
  • Maintain high quality standards throughout production.
  • Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations and actively promote a safety-first culture.
  • Participate as a member of the site Emergency Response Team
  • Always maintain excellent housekeeping standards.
Candidate Requirements
  • Eligible to work in the UK.
  • Minimum qualification of NVQ/BTEC or equivalent in a technical or scientific discipline
  • Exceptional attention to detail with experience following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Comfortable working with tools and performing assembly/disassembly tasks.
  • Capable of manual handling within Health and Safety Executive (HSE) limits: 25kg for men, 16kg for women
  • Able to perform physically demanding tasks while wearing respiratory protection.
  • Flexible to work shifts and overtime as required (with agreement)
