Tasks
  • System Design: Design and develop components, subsystems and systems which enhance the functionality and efficiency of Barocal's innovative cooling solutions.
  • Experimental Design and Execution: Design and carry out experiments to validate the performance of advanced prototypes in lab and real-world conditions.
  • CAD Drawing: Utilise CAD software to create detailed engineering drawings, ensuring precision in design and adherence to industry standards.
  • Manufacturing Engineering: Drive projects that enhance product efficiency, functionality, cost-effectiveness and manufacturability.
  • Customer & Supplier Engagement: Collaborate with customers and suppliers to ensure customer requirements and specifications are met or exceeded, and that Barocal’s quality, performance and delivery requirements are adhered to by suppliers.
  • Project Management: Manage own projects and sub-projects and potentially the work of others as part of a team, to ensure Barocal’s overall objectives are met and that projects stay on track.
Requirements
  • Education: 2.1 or 1st Class Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Thermal Engineering, or a related discipline. A PhD in a related field is a plus.
  • Experience: 3+ years of achievement in an industrial or R&D environment.
  • Practical Skills: Demonstrable capability and aptitude in practical engineering tasks and engineering problem solving including building and operating lab or industrial equipment..
