A prominent NHS teaching trust in Oxford is seeking an R&D Costing Officer to manage costing activities for research projects. The role involves identifying the costs of resources used, ensuring compliance with funding rules, and coordinating with teams to support research activities. Applicants should possess a qualification from a CCAB body or equivalent experience, alongside an understanding of NHS costing processes. A full-time, fixed-term contract for 2 years is offered with a salary range of £38,682 to £46,580 per annum.

Where research involves the use of Trust resources, identify the full extent of those resources, cost them, and secure adequate funding to meet these costs. Ensure all research activities are costed within the rules of the appropriate funding bodies or follow the national costing process. Complete costing activities to time and target to meet the national 150-day metrics for study setup for research.
Grant applications for research funding are reviewed with the applicant to ensure the funds requested are adequate and appropriate and within the terms and conditions of the grant funding.
Once funding is agreed, draft contracts are reviewed to ensure the funding is correctly represented before financial approval is given.
