Overview

Quantity Surveyor - Civils (Water Projects) | Location: Reading, Bracknell, Swindon | Contract Type: Inside IR35 | Rate - £475 - depending on references | Start Date: 18/8/2025

Responsibilities
  • Manage the commercial aspects of a water infrastructure project.
  • Prepare and manage cost plans, forecasts, and reports.
  • Administer and manage contracts in line with NEC (New Engineering Contract) standards.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure contractual compliance and cost control.
  • Assess subcontractor applications and variations.
  • Support the project delivery team with risk management and procurement strategies.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on civils projects, ideally within the water or utilities sector.
  • Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts (preferably NEC3/4).
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
  • Chartered status with RICS or working towards it – optional.
