Job description

Our client, a well-established civils contractor, is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. This role will be ideal for a Quantity Surveyor with surfacing experience, or a civil engineering background, working across a range of infrastructure and groundwork projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage project costs from tender stage through to final account
• Prepare valuations, cost reports, and forecasts
• Procure and manage subcontractors and suppliers
• Assess, price, and agree variations and change control
• Work closely with site and project teams to ensure commercial performance
• Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within surfacing, highways, or civil engineering projects
• Strong commercial awareness and contractual knowledge
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently

Desirable Experience:

• Surfacing or highways project experience (highly beneficial)
• Civil engineering background (advantageous)
