The Opportunity

A high-growth infrastructure and utilities contractor is expanding its power and energy division across the UK and now seeks an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of transmission projects across Scotland's Central Belt.

This role offers the chance to work on high-voltage and substation schemes that play a vital role in strengthening the UK's power network and supporting the energy transition.

The Role
  • Provide commercial management support across transmission and power infrastructure projects.
  • Manage CVRs, forecasting, valuations, and cost reporting.
  • Support procurement, subcontract management, and change control processes.
  • Ensure effective financial control and contract compliance (NEC).
  • Work closely with project managers and site teams to drive commercial performance.
  • Contribute to commercial reviews, risk management, and reporting.
About You
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within utilities, energy, or civil engineering.
  • Experience working on transmission, HV, substation, or power infrastructure projects preferred.
  • Strong understanding of NEC contracts and commercial processes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Based in (or commutable to) the Central Belt of Scotland, with hybrid working available.
