Qualifications

• BSc in Quantity Surveying or similar commercial related course.
• Highly computer literate including Microsoft Office and confident in managing and working with large data sets.
• Residential Groundworks background ideally.
• Professional membership of appropriate body required.
• Valid driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all contract terms are met and payments are verified.
• Evaluate the impact of budget changes with the project team.
• Prepare and review tenders with estimators.
• Validate weekly cost monitors against actual costs.
• Forecast monthly and annual profit figures.
• Allocate work to sub-contractors.
• Undertake site visits to administer the contract.

PSR Solutions are working with a market leading client within the Civil Engineering Sector to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to Join their Commercial team on a permanent basis. This role require working across Staffordshire, Cheshire and North West and will involve working within Residential groundworks Projects.

Quantity Surveyor Roles and Responsibilities

• Perform the closeout process, ensuring all contract terms are met and payments are verified.
• Work with the project team to evaluate the impact of budget changes.
• Ensuring all commercial accountabilities are undertaken in a timely manner, with a high degree of accuracy and measure.
• Preparing and reviewing tenders with estimators and assisting with understanding the client's requirements to offer value engineering.
• Review and validate weekly cost monitors, comparing forecasted costs with actual costs.
• Forecasting monthly and annual profit figures ensuring figures are maintained throughout the lifetime of the project.
• Allocating work to sub-contractors including assistance with procurement when required.
• Undertake site visits to administer the contract in line with project progress.

Quantity Surveyor Requirements
