Overview

Vital has an exciting opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join their team.

About the role

The successful candidate will play a vital role in managing project costs, ensuring value for money, and contributing to the delivery of successful infrastructure projects. This position can be based out of our Kent office, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work on a diverse range of high-impact projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and manage accurate cost estimates, budgets, and cost plans for infrastructure projects.
  • Support tendering processes, including the preparation of bills of quantities and contract documentation.
  • Monitor project costs against budgets and identify any potential cost overruns or savings.
  • Liaise with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to provide commercial support throughout project lifecycles.
  • Manage subcontractor packages, including procurement, negotiation, and final account settlements.
  • Assist in the valuation of variations and change control.
  • Ensure compliance with contract terms and relevant regulations.
  • Prepare and present cost reports and forecasts for internal and client review.
