A well-established structural steel specialist in Magherafelt is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor with strong estimating and business development skills. Responsibilities

• Prepare, manage, and monitor project costings from tender through to final account.
• Measure structural steel packages, variations, and contract changes accurately.
• Prepare valuations, progress claims, and financial/commercial reports.
• Analyse architectural and structural drawings to determine project scope.
• Complete detailed material take-offs for beams, columns, bracing, and connection details.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates for labour, fabrication, installation, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Assist with tenders, bid proposals, and presentations.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with contractors, architects, suppliers, and stakeholders.

Skills and Qualifications

• 3-5 years’ experience in quantity surveying, estimating, or related structural steel roles.
• Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings confidently.
• Proficiency in Tekla EPM, FabTrol, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.
• Experience supporting business development or tender activities.
• Excellent analytical skills, commercial awareness, and attention to detail.
• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent experience preferred.
