The Company

This role offers a hands‑on, commercially‑focused environment where the emphasis is on delivering results, managing costs, and driving value. The team is highly project‑oriented, with a clear focus on practical solutions, accuracy, and timely decision‑making. Role & Responsibilities of the Quantity Surveyor
  • Develop a thorough understanding of project specifications, pricing structures, programmes, and contractual conditions.
  • Assist in reviewing, negotiating, and agreeing client and main contractor contract documentation.
  • Support supplier and subcontractor selection, orders, and commercial management to ensure quality, capability, and contractual compliance.
  • Measure, value, submit, and negotiate contract variations with clients and supply chain to ensure accurate and timely payments.
  • Monitor and report project costs, cash flows, and progress, recommending and implementing improvements where necessary.
  • Analyse internal reporting systems, design, procurement, and construction outputs, providing feedback on quality and content.
  • Maintain and enforce commercial controls, change management processes, and adherence to company standards.
  • Attend internal and external project meetings, recording actions, agreements, and unresolved matters for follow‑up.
  • Provide commercial and contractual advice to project teams, review correspondence, and ensure processes are followed.
  • Contribute to team development by mentoring junior staff and ensuring training needs are met.
About You as the Quantity Surveyor
  • Proven experience in quantity surveying within construction, with strong commercial, reporting, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, both internal and external.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with project management and cost reporting systems.
  • Committed to safety, professionalism, continuous improvement, and delivering value.
