Overview

Position: Quality Technician – Sunderland
Company: Autoscan UK Limited
Location: Sunderland, Tyne and Wear

Autoscan provides Quality Inspection, Containment & Quality Engineering Services to the Automotive, Off Highway, and manufacturing industries and their supply chains. This role is based in the Sunderland area and is a temporary to fixed-term opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Perform first-off / last-off inspection confirmations and basic level auditing and part confirmation against internal QAIS standards.
• Conduct visual assessment of parts and perform simple measurements (gloss/colour and vernier where applicable).
• Update quality concerns in the bespoke concern management system and update customer-specific systems to reflect status and progress.
• Manage resolution of quality issues in collaboration with suppliers, implement robust problem-solving actions, and close issues to 8D.
• Represent the team in quality forums, from initial investigation to senior management and engineering follow-up meetings, feeding back to the supplier network.
• Work with other colleagues in a customer-facing capacity as required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar Quality role.
• Computer literate and experienced in the use of MRP-type systems.
• Ability to communicate at all levels.
• Eligibility for a basic DBS Criminal Record Check.

Details

• Pay rate: £14.50 per hour (PAYE).
• Duration: Minimum 3 Months FTC.
• Location: Sunderland area; commutable from South Shields, Jarrow, North Shields, Gateshead, Newcastle upon Tyne, Durham, Whitley Bay, Hartlepool, Teesside and Middlesbrough.
