Food Technologist
Location: Dungannon
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week

MCS Group is delighted to be working with a leading food manufacturing company in Co. Tyrone to recruit a Food Technologist to join their growing technical team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established Food Manufacturer supplying to major retailers across the UK and Ireland. The Role

Reporting directly to the Technical Manager, the Food Technologist will be responsible for ensuring product safety, compliance, and innovation and supporting the technical manager in daily duties.

  • Monitoring production processes, audits and quality control procedures.
  • Ensuring compliance with food safety standards (HACCP, BRCGS, allergens, labelling).
  • Training production staff on hygiene and SOPs.
  • Maintaining supplier approval and traceability systems.
  • Managing non-conformances, complaints and technical customer queries.
  • Conducting sensory evaluations and assisting with NPD feedback.
  • Preparing reports and KPI updates for senior management.
What You Need

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or related discipline.
  • At least 1 year's experience in a food technologist or QA role, ideally within ready meals or convenience food.
  • Knowledge of HACCP, BRCGS and food safety legislation.
  • Excellent communication, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced HACCP and Food Safety Level 3 (or equivalent).
