Job summary

A renowned healthcare provider in Basildon seeks an Environmental Quality Monitoring Officer to ensure high cleanliness standards in their facilities. You will monitor cleaning standards across various hospital sites, provide audit support, and drive improvements for patient and staff experiences. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail and the ability to liaise effectively with service providers and clinical staff. This role includes travel between sites and a commitment to improving health services.

  • Produce audit reports and attend review meetings.
  • Support the audit programme and quality assurance activities.
  • Liaise with service providers, managers, and clinical staff.
  • Assist with investigations into complaints and service errors.
  • Use IT systems to record and analyse data.
  • Travel between sites as required.
Job description

Are you passionate about maintaining high standards of cleanliness and improving patient experience? Join our Estates and Facilities Management team as an Environmental Quality Monitoring Officer. You’ll play a key role in monitoring cleaning standards across our hospital sites (Basildon, Broomfield, Southend), ensuring services meet agreed specifications and key performance indicators. Working closely with colleagues and service providers, you’ll help drive improvements, support audits, and contribute to a safe, welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
