Overview

Superb Opportunity for a Quality Manager based in Port Talbot, onsite parking.

Working Monday - Thursday 7am 5pm - Friday non working day!

Are you a driven and experienced Quality Manager ready to lead and enhance quality standards in a dynamic manufacturing environment? This role offers the chance to coordinate quality activities across multiple departments while fostering supplier compliance and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee effective quality control processes, including goods-in inspection and final checks on finished products.
  • Manage accurate inventory controls, including quarantine and scrap procedures to ensure product integrity.
  • Maintain and monitor Non-Conformance Reports and Corrective and Preventive Actions, ensuring all costs of quality are carefully recorded.
  • Execute and uphold robust quality systems and documentation to meet rigorous standards.
  • Ensure supplier adherence to national and international standards through audits and direct engagement.
  • Conduct supplier visits to resolve quality issues and drive improvement.
  • Support and inspire the quality team to achieve their objectives and enhance overall performance.
  • Review sales orders and prepare Quality Design Plans to align with customer requirements.
  • Maintain calibration systems to guarantee measuring equipment accuracy.
Qualifications
  • At least 5 years of experience in a quality role within manufacturing, including 5 years in a management or supervisory capacity.
  • Proven expertise in internal and external auditing with strong customer-facing skills.
  • Sound knowledge of Quality Management Systems and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong skills in policy implementation, auditing, standardising and improving tasks, calibration control, and leadership.
