Quality Manager | Stalbridge | £55,000

Are you passionate about driving quality standards and continuous improvement? This is an opportunity to lead quality initiatives within a forward-thinking manufacturing environment, ensuring compliance and excellence across all processes. This role is ideal for a quality-focused professional with experience in quality engineering who is eager to progress into Quality Management.

Office based role, commutable from Yeovil, Shaftesbury, Stourpaine, Wincanton and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities
  • Quality Reporting – Update senior management on quality issues, lead quality meetings, manage KPIs, and coordinate corrective actions across sites.
  • Customer Quality – Handle customer complaints, drive corrective actions, ensure documentation accuracy, and reduce repeat issues.
  • Quality Systems – Maintain and enforce ISO/IATF/AS/NADCAP compliance, lead audits, and act as main accreditation contact.
  • Financial – Report quality-related costs, rejects, replacements, and credits accurately and on time.
  • People – Lead and develop quality staff, conduct appraisals, and arrange required training.
  • New Products – Support new business through feasibility, PPAP, FMEA, control plans, and validation activities.
  • Calibration – Manage calibration systems, schedules, and costs.
  • Continuous Improvement – Drive continuous improvement initiatives and projects.
  • Health & Safety – Ensure compliance and promote a safe working environment.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Proven background in quality management within manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO and IATF standards (AS & NADCAP desirable).
  • Experience managing audits and liaising with accreditation bodies.
  • Ability to lead teams and influence cross-functional projects.
