Role: Quality Inspector

Location: Dudley

Pay: £14ph

Shifts: Rotating Shifts (Morning/ Afternoons)

Hours of work: Mornings: Monday to Thursday – 5.40am to 1.50pm, Friday – 5.40am to 11.30am. Afternoons: Monday to Thursday – 1.40pm to 9.50pm, Friday – 11.20am to 5.10pm

Pertemps are looking for an experienced Quality Inspector to join our client, a well-established manufacturer within the Dudley area. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a clean, modern environment within a friendly and supportive team. Full training will be provided. You'll be responsible for inspecting and verifying the quality of plastic automotive components, ensuring they meet strict customer and production standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out visual and dimensional inspections of products.
  • Use a range of measuring equipment including verniers, micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and plug gauges.
  • Check components against engineering drawings, samples, and quality specifications.
  • Record inspection data accurately on inspection sheets and electronic systems.
  • Identify and report any defects, non-conformances, or process issues to the Quality Team Leader.
  • Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure inspection areas are kept clean, organised, and compliant with company standards.
  • Liaise with production teams to maintain consistent product quality and promote a culture of right-first-time manufacturing.
Successful Candidates will have:
