Quality Inspector job in Worthing West Sussex

The Quality Inspector will work closely with Quality Production and Engineering teams to ensure all assemblies and finished products meet IPC-A-610 and internal quality igjen standards. This Quality Inspector position is hands‑on and suited to someone with a strong eye for detail and experience within electronics manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities of the Quality Inspector job in Worthing

Inspection & Testing

  • The Quality Inspector will perform visual inspection of surface mount and through‑hole PCB assemblies to IPC-A-610 standards.
  • Operate AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) and X‑ray inspection equipment.
  • Carry out first‑off in‑process and tentang final inspections of PCBAs sub‑assemblies and finished units.
  • Conduct basic functional and dimensional checks using microscopes, callipers and test jigs.

Rework & ESD Compliance

  • Carry out rework or soldering activities when required.
  • Adhere strictly to ESD procedures and maintain EPA standards.
Experience & Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a Quality Inspector or within electronic assembly / manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of PCB assembly processes and electronic components.
  • IPC-A-610 certification desirable (training available).
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Experience with AOI and X‑ray inspection equipment advantageous.
