A well-established manufacturing business in Reading is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join their quality team. The role requires proven experience in a manufacturing setting, expertise in interpreting engineering drawings, and the use of various inspection tools. Quality Inspector - Manufacturing

Location: Reading, Berkshire
Salary: £32,000 - £35,000 per annum
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business in Reading who are looking to add an experienced Quality Inspector to their growing quality team.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out inspection of incoming, in-process, and finished components
• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Use a range of measuring equipment (e.g. verniers, micrometers, gauges, CMM advantageous)
• Identify non-conformances and raise quality reports
• Support continuous improvement and root cause analysis
• Work closely with production and engineering teams to maintain quality standards

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Quality Inspector within a manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances
• Experience using manual inspection tools (CMM experience is a plus)
• Knowledge of ISO quality standards preferred
• High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
