Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years experience of working within an inspection.
  • Ability to use standard metrology equipment in the correct application.
  • Experience with creating presentable inspection reports.
  • CMM Operating experience.
  • Ability to read complex Engineering drawings.
  • Understanding of GD&T.
  • Experience of working with customers.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out first-off inspections for the Machine Shop.
  • Utilise metrology equipment to aid the inspection process.
  • Responsible for the storage and upkeep of measuring instruments.
  • Complete non-conformances and maintain documentation.

Job description

Overview

Our client are looking for a Quality Inspector to join their team Oxfordshire.

Shift pattern

8:30am-5:00pm Monday-Thursday 34 hours a week 30-minute lunch break

Responsibilities
  • Reporting to the Quality Supervisor, your duties will include but are not limited to:
  • Accurate and appropriate measurement of product features to determine conformance/non- conformance to
  • To carry out first-off inspection for the Machine Shop, and where necessary, assist with in-process inspection.
  • To produce clear, concise and presentable inspection
  • Utilise metrology equipment such as our CMM, Form tracer, Surface Tester to aid the inspection process.
  • Responsible for the safe storage and upkeep of Inspection department measuring instruments, and to assist with calibration when
  • Complete non-conformances and concessions when necessary and maintain relevant documentation
