Quality Inspector

Currently seeking an Quality Inspector to join our fast-paced food manufacturing site in Milton Keynes. As the successful Quality Inspector you will play a key role in maintaining high standards of food safety, product quality, and operational efficiency across multiple departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure food safety policies and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards are followed at all times.
  • Correctly store all line equipment (trolleys, table scales, knife pots, etc.) in designated areas.
  • Keep the wall storage cabinet clean, organised, and well-maintained.
  • Provide cover for the Team Leader when required.
  • Verify the correct programmes are present on all line equipment, including printer, thermoformer, converger, and metal detector.
  • Complete all traceability paperwork accurately and in full.
  • Carry out gas checks and metal detection tests at the required frequency.
  • Complete end-of-line startup check sheets and ensure documentation compliance.
  • Monitor product weights - ensure lightweight/overweight packs do not exceed right percentage.
  • Manage and deliver production changeovers efficiently and accurately.
  • Confirm end-to-end programme accuracy.
  • Safely operate the film lifter and manage base film changes as required.
About You
  • Previous experience in a maunfacturing or food manufacturing or packaging environment preferred.
  • Understanding of quality procedures & food is advantegous.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable, flexible, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Confident communicator with good problem-solving skills
