Job summary

A growing organisation in a regulated industry is seeking a Quality Inspector to ensure product compliance and quality assurance. Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Inspector to join a growing organisation within a highly regulated industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure quality assurance and compliance of products, materials, processes, and documentation relating to regulated manufacturing.
  • Carry out goods-in inspections, in-process QC checks, and final product testing.
  • Test products, analyse results, and review batch records to ensure error-free manufacturing and release.
  • Support facility compliance, equipment calibration, and maintenance record-keeping.
  • Maintain and monitor manufacturing KPIs to improve processes and drive decision-making.
  • Recommend and implement corrective actions and improvements.
  • Provide technical support to resolve quality issues with suppliers, customers, or auditors.
  • Support audits and inspections by external bodies and authorities.
  • Participate in internal audit programmes and assist with non-conformance investigations.
  • Contribute to quality system documentation, supplier records, and corrective/preventive action reports.
  • Work with engineering teams on projects as required.
The Candidate

Experience within a highly regulated environment (e.g., medical, aerospace, defence).

Knowledge of ISO13485 or other relevant quality management systems.

Strong understanding of quality assurance, inspection, and manufacturing processes.

Experience handling NCRs, CAPAs, and contributing to continuous improvements.

Skilled in inspection and measurement techniques, with excellent attention to detail.

Ideally educated to apprenticeship/HNC/HND/NVQ Level 3 or higher in an engineering discipline.

Experience working with electro-mechanical assemblies.

Ability to read technical drawings and follow instructions to a high standard.

Familiar with test/inspection equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters, calipers).

Knowledge of industry standards such as IPC-A-600 or IPC-A-610.

Salary

£30,000 - £38,000 depending on experience and ability to meet key requirements.
