Job Description

If you are looking to be a key member of a talented team of technical professionals, Precision Custom Components LLC (PCC) wants to talk to you! We are looking for a Quality Engineering Specialist I (Supplier Quality Control) to add to our growing team!

Based in York, PA, PCC began over 100 years ago as a manufacturer of energy related equipment for government and commercial customers. Today, PCC is a major domestic supplier to the Commercial Nuclear Industry, Departments of Energy and Defense, as well as NASA, Naval Shipyards, and other industrial and government customers.

Responsibilities
  • Implement contract quality requirements through the incorporation of pass down requirements in purchase orders.
  • Review and disposition material certification documentation and/or certificates of compliance. Interact with purchasing department and supplier personnel to resolve any discrepancies.
  • Perform source inspection/surveillance at suppliers’ facility to assure purchase order requirements have been satisfied.
  • Interface/train supplier personnel to ensure compliance with quality assurance requirements.
  • Prepare trip reports documenting performed activities and identifying issues and non-compliance.
  • Assist in the resolution of inspection problems related to supplier inspection process and planning.
  • Assist with maintenance of Approved Suppliers List
  • Assist with the preparation of history books and resolve supplier issues associated with this documentation.
  • Serve as the customer contact with respect to quality issues related to the material certification documentation.
  • Assist other departments in identification of supplier quality issues based on historical and statistical evaluations.
  • Attend critical meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
Education

Education: Associate degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in a heavy manufacturing industry.

Experience

Experience: Experience in a quality role/function in a manufacturing environment.

Computer Skills
  • Excellent computer skills required.
  • Must have a working knowledge of ERP systems.
  • Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.

US citizenship is required at time of hire.
