A leading quality control organization in Greater London is looking for a Quality Control Engineer to perform system audits and ensure product quality standards are met. Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Knowledge of ISO9001 & IATF16949 rules is essential.
  • Familiarity with FMEA, 8D, and PPAP quality methods is required.

The Job youll do
  • Performs system and process audits internally and for local suppliers.
  • Defines product quality specifications and requirements and qualifies and approves potential suppliers.
  • Defines quality planning of products and conducts inspection and approval.
  • Performs analyses, tests and evaluations of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
  • Ensures the accuracy and reliability of all testing.
  • Completes reporting and documentation of tests and inspections.
  • Develops new quality test methods.
  • Assists plant management in tracking process performance.
  • Maintains and improves laboratory standards.
  • May lead a team of QC operators.
  • Follow quality control objectives as per Automotive Quality Standards.
  • All relevant procedures must be followed to ensure Customer Satisfaction and achievement of plant objectives.
About You
  • Must have a quality or technical qualification or equivalent.
  • Will ideally have 3 years previous experience in a similar role.
  • Must have knowledge of automotive industry norms such as ISO9001 & IATF16949 rules.
  • Must have knowledge of the following quality standards / methods : FMEA, 8D and PPAP.
  • Will ideally have knowledge of audit management VDA 6.3 rules.
  • Must have excellent English language skills and be computer literate.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work within an International team and Global organisation.
  • Able to work under own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Reliable and flexible in their approach to everyday work requirements.
  • An ambitious self-starter with a positive attitude and be naturally inquisitive.
  • Have an analytical approach to their daily work.
