Job Summary

Quality Control Site Manager – Working Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week. This role supports social housing refurbishment projects, focusing on quality control, reporting and document control to ensure reliable delivery of works.

Location

Burton office, with site responsibilities around Burton, Uttoxeter and surrounding areas.

Working Hours

Typical Monday‑Friday schedule, 39 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and encourage best practice delivery across the operational team, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Inspect, snag and correct defects at each installation stage, including independent inspections.
  • Guarantee materials are installed in accordance with specifications and manufacturers’ recommendations.
  • Supervise tradespeople and assess supervisory competency to maintain satisfactory quality and progress.
  • Actively monitor KPIs to identify areas of concern and work with managers to recover any dips in performance.
  • Identify potential resource improvements in subcontractor, supplier and direct labour.
  • Stakeholder management – liaise with clients and internal Contracts Managers.
  • Review IT system performance and support the delivery team in installing and optimising system usage.
  • Provide data analysis, compile reports and respond to data requests.

About You

The successful candidate will have strong experience in quality control, ideally on planned refurbishment works in social housing or tenanted properties. You should possess a working knowledge of internal or external works and understand delivery through to completion and handover. Commercial awareness, ensuring costs meet budget requirements, and overseeing KPI’s and best practice are essential. Great communication skills are needed to build relationships with all stakeholders. SMSTS or associated NVQ would be beneficial but not essential, and you should be confident with IT and proficient in MS Office. A full UK driving licence is required for daily site travel and the role will require a DBS check.
